Black Diamond Storm 500-R Rechargeable Headlamp
Powerful, weatherproof and packed with useful lighting options, the Black Diamond Storm 500-R Rechargeable Headlamp is designed for hiking, camping, climbing, trail running and demanding outdoor adventures. Its maximum output of 500 lumens projects light up to 120m, providing the visibility needed for night-time navigation and technical terrain.
Separate proximity and distance modes let you choose broad peripheral lighting for nearby tasks or a focused beam for looking farther along the trail. PowerTap technology provides instant access to maximum brightness, while the secondary control button makes it easier to move between the different lighting modes.
Red, green and blue night-vision settings provide adaptable low-light illumination. Red light helps preserve natural night vision, green light can improve contrast when reading maps, and blue light may make certain details easier to identify in darkness. The headlamp also includes dimming, strobe and digital lockout settings.
Brightness Memory returns the headlamp to your previously selected brightness when it is switched back on. A six-level, three-LED battery meter helps you monitor the remaining charge before setting out or while on an extended trip.
The integrated 2400mAh lithium-ion battery provides longer operating times than smaller rechargeable headlamps and recharges through the Micro-USB port. Its low-profile housing is balanced for comfortable wear, while the elastic headband incorporates Repreve recycled textiles.
With an IP67 rating, the Storm 500-R is dustproof and tested to operate when submerged in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes, making it suitable for wet and unpredictable outdoor conditions.

Please note: The rechargeable battery is integrated into the headlamp and cannot be replaced with standard AAA batteries. This model charges through Micro-USB rather than USB-C.
