CamelBak Crux 1.5L Reservoir

Stay hydrated on the move with the CamelBak Crux 1.5L Reservoir. Designed for compact hydration packs and shorter outdoor adventures, it provides convenient access to water without requiring you to stop and remove a bottle from your pack.

The Crux system delivers 20% more water with each sip than the previous-generation CamelBak reservoir. Its Big Bite Valve self-seals after drinking, while the easy-to-operate on/off lever allows the drinking tube to be securely closed when it is not in use.

A large access port and ergonomic handle make the reservoir easier to hold, fill and clean. The integrated baffle helps maintain a slim profile inside your pack while also reducing water movement as you walk, run or ride.

Care Instructions

Clean and thoroughly air-dry the reservoir and drinking tube after every use, particularly when carrying liquids other than water. Wash with warm water and mild detergent or use a compatible CamelBak reservoir cleaning kit. Store the reservoir completely dry to help prevent mould and unwanted odours.

Bicycle enthusiast Michael Eidson was competing in the "Hotter'N Hell 100," and that's exactly what it is to this day: a 100-mile road race, over four days in the grueling summer heat of Wichita Falls, Texas. Water is vital to surviving the race, but there are few places to refill, let alone time to stop. An emergency medical technician by trade, Eidson came up with a solution on the fly: he filled an IV bag with water, slipped it into a white tube sock (yes, an actual tube sock), and stuffed the whole contraption into the back of his bike jersey. He then threw the hose over his shoulder and clamped it shut with a clothespin. Hands-free hydration was born. And CamelBak was created to pursue it.
