The CamelBak Crux 2L Reservoir offers convenient hands-free hydration for hiking, cycling, running and other active outdoor pursuits. Its two-litre capacity provides a practical balance between water storage and pack weight, making it well suited to day hikes and longer periods between refills.

Designed for efficient drinking on the move, the Crux system delivers 20% more water with each sip than the previous-generation CamelBak reservoir. The self-sealing Big Bite Valve provides an easy flow of water, while the one-handed on/off lever allows the drinking tube to be securely closed during transport.

The ergonomic handle helps stabilise the reservoir while filling, and its large access port makes cleaning and drying easier. An integrated baffle maintains a slimmer profile inside your pack and reduces water movement as you travel over uneven terrain.

Care Instructions

Clean the reservoir and drinking tube after every use and allow all components to air-dry completely before storage. Warm water and mild detergent may be used for routine cleaning, or the reservoir can be maintained with a compatible CamelBak cleaning kit. More thorough cleaning is recommended after carrying liquids other than water.

Bicycle enthusiast Michael Eidson was competing in the "Hotter'N Hell 100," and that's exactly what it is to this day: a 100-mile road race, over four days in the grueling summer heat of Wichita Falls, Texas. Water is vital to surviving the race, but there are few places to refill, let alone time to stop. An emergency medical technician by trade, Eidson came up with a solution on the fly: he filled an IV bag with water, slipped it into a white tube sock (yes, an actual tube sock), and stuffed the whole contraption into the back of his bike jersey. He then threw the hose over his shoulder and clamped it shut with a clothespin. Hands-free hydration was born. And CamelBak was created to pursue it.
