Wingan Inlet and surrounds consists of walking, swimming, fishing and conoeing opportunities. Wingan Inlet Camping Ground consists of 24 sites fee payable places with advanced bookings required during peak periods. Crossing Wingan Inlet on foot can be difficult. Even at low tide a swim is often required. The entrance very rarely gets blocked. The Skerries (rocks of the coast) seals can often be heard (when there is a southerly wind). There are also little penguins on the rocks.
Tracks on the east side of Wingan Inlet: East Wingan Track is badly overgrown at the southern end – don’t even consider using it.Easby Walking Track is in good condition.
There is a 20Hp limit on Wingan Inlet for boats. Good for canoeing. The 6km paddle up to the rapids is a good flat water paddle.
