Description

Clean, reproof and protect your outdoor equipment with the Grangers Tent and Gear Care Kit. Containing everything required for a two-stage care treatment, the kit helps restore the performance of tents, awnings and other outdoor fabrics affected by dirt, weather and regular use.

The Tent + Gear Cleaner removes dirt, dust, pollen and stains that can cause fabric to absorb water and prevent existing water-repellent treatments from working effectively. Cleaning also prepares the material for an even application of the included reproofing spray.

Once the fabric is clean, Tent + Gear Repel UV restores durable water repellency and helps protect against rain, stains and damage caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight. The included expanding sponge makes it easier to clean large fabric panels and work the cleaning solution into heavily soiled areas.

Cleaning Instructions

1. Fully erect the tent or lay the item flat and wet the fabric surface.
2. Add 100ml of Tent + Gear Cleaner to 5L of clean water.
3. Use the included sponge or a soft brush to work the solution into the fabric, concentrating on dirty or stained areas.
4. Rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water.
5. Leave the fabric damp if applying Tent + Gear Repel UV immediately afterwards.

Reproofing Instructions

1. Ensure the fabric is clean and damp before application.
2. Shake the Tent + Gear Repel UV bottle thoroughly.
3. Spray evenly from approximately 15cm away, paying particular attention to seams and areas exposed to rain.
4. Wait 2–3 minutes, then remove excess treatment with a clean, damp sponge or cloth.
5. Allow the item to dry naturally and completely before use or storage.

Always test treatments on a small, inconspicuous area first and follow the equipment manufacturer’s care instructions. Never pack away a tent until it is completely dry. This treatment restores surface water repellency but does not repair holes, damaged coatings or failed seam sealant.
