Carry and pour stove fuel more safely with the TRANGIA Fuel Bottle. Made from durable high-density polyethylene, it features TRANGIA’s purpose-designed safety valve for controlled filling of spirit burners with less risk of splashing or spilling fuel.
The valve incorporates separate pouring and ventilation openings, allowing fuel to flow smoothly without removing the entire cap. This makes it easier to direct fuel into the small opening of a burner while maintaining greater control over the flow.
Available in 500ml and 1000ml capacities, the bottle can be selected to suit anything from overnight hikes to extended camping trips. Its distinctive red colour also makes it easier to identify as a fuel container among other equipment.

Suitable fuels
The bottle is suitable for storing many common liquid stove fuels, including methylated spirits, kerosene, white gas, alkylate petrol and Primus PowerFuel. Always check the instructions supplied with your stove and use only the fuel recommended by its manufacturer.

How the safety valve helps
The safety valve allows air to enter through one opening while fuel leaves through another. This reduces glugging and provides a more predictable flow, making it easier to fill a burner without removing the valve assembly.
The valve improves control when pouring but does not make refuelling a hot or burning stove safe. Always follow the burner manufacturer’s instructions.
Important safety information
- Fuel bottle is supplied empty.
- Never use the bottle to carry drinking water or other consumable liquids.
- Clearly identify the fuel stored inside the bottle.
- Never refill a burner while it is alight, hot or positioned near another flame.
- TRANGIA spirit burner flames can be difficult to see in daylight. Confirm that the flame is completely extinguished and allow the burner to cool before refilling.
- Close the valve securely before transport and store the bottle upright where practical.
- Keep away from children, heat, sparks and open flames.
- Check the bottle, valve and sealing O-ring for damage before each trip.
