The TRANGIA Storm Cooker 25-1 HA is a complete outdoor cooking system designed for groups of three to four people. Combining two saucepans, a frypan, an integrated windscreen and Trangia’s dependable spirit burner, it provides everything required to prepare varied meals in the outdoors without carrying a separate stove and cookware set.

The two-part windscreen surrounds and supports the burner, helping protect the flame and channel heat towards the cookware. This stable, integrated design performs reliably in exposed conditions and removes the need to balance pans on a small conventional hiking stove.

The saucepans, frypan and windshields are made from hard-anodised ultralight aluminium. This surface treatment creates a harder, more scratch-resistant and corrosion-resistant finish than untreated aluminium while retaining low weight and efficient heat conduction. Hard-anodised cookware is also easier to clean than standard ultralight aluminium, although it is not a non-stick coating.

The included brass spirit burner operates on alcohol-based fuel such as methylated spirits. Its adjustable simmer ring allows the flame to be reduced for controlled cooking and can also be used to extinguish the burner. When packing up, the saucepans and burner nest inside the windshields, the frypan forms the cover and the included strap holds the complete system together.

Spirit burner performance

Under Trangia’s test guidance, approximately 50ml of fuel can boil 1L of water in around 10–15 minutes. One burner filling, to no more than two-thirds of its height, provides approximately 25 minutes of burning time. Actual performance will vary with the fuel, weather, wind, water temperature and cookware being used.

What does HA mean?

HA stands for hard-anodised. The treatment strengthens the surface of the aluminium, improving resistance to scratching, wear and corrosion without adding the weight of a separate coating. It offers a more durable and easier-to-clean finish than Trangia’s standard ultralight aluminium, but it should not be confused with non-stick cookware.

Important safety information

For outdoor use only. Place the cooker on a stable, level and non-combustible surface, away from flammable materials. Use alcohol-based fuel only and never use petrol or petroleum-based fuels.

Never add fuel while the burner is alight, hot or potentially still burning. Spirit flames can be difficult to see in daylight, so extinguish the burner completely and allow it to cool before checking or refilling it. Remove the detachable pot grip from the cookware while cooking and observe all applicable fire restrictions.

Compare TRANGIA 25 Series cooking systems

UL: Ultralight aluminium provides low weight, excellent heat conduction and good value, but is more susceptible to scratching and denting.

HA: Hard-anodised aluminium has a harder surface with improved resistance to scratching, wear and corrosion. It is also easier to clean than untreated aluminium but is not non-stick.

• Choose the 25-1 HA if you want both the cookware and windshields finished in hard-anodised aluminium.
• Choose the 25-7 UL/HA if you want the durability and easier cleaning of hard-anodised cookware while retaining more economical UL windshields.
• Choose the 25-21 UL/D if you prepare substantial meals regularly and prefer a tougher stainless steel cooking surface, even with the additional weight.
