Description
The TRANGIA Storm Cooker 25-1 UL is a complete outdoor cooking system designed for groups of three to four people. It combines a stable stove, integrated wind protection and a versatile collection of cookware in one compact nesting package.
The upper and lower windshields surround the included spirit burner, helping protect the flame and direct heat towards the cookware. This integrated design provides greater stability than balancing large pots on a compact hiking stove and performs reliably when cooking in exposed outdoor conditions.
Two saucepans provide separate cooking vessels for preparing complete meals, while the wide 220mm frypan can be used for frying or placed over either saucepan as a lid. A detachable pot grip handles each cooking vessel without adding fixed handles that would interfere with nesting and storage.
The cookware and windshields are made from ultralight aluminium, providing low weight and excellent heat conduction at an accessible price. This is Trangia’s classic material and is a practical choice for campers who value simple construction, reliable performance and easily replaceable components.
The included brass spirit burner operates on alcohol-based fuel such as methylated spirits. Its simmer ring allows the flame to be reduced for slower cooking and can also be closed to extinguish the burner. Once cooking is complete, the components pack inside one another and are secured with the included strap.

Spirit burner performance
Under Trangia’s test guidance, approximately 50ml of fuel can boil 1L of water in around 10–15 minutes. One burner filling, to no more than two-thirds of its height, provides approximately 25 minutes of burning time. Actual performance will vary with the fuel, weather, wind, water temperature and cookware being used.
Why choose the UL model?
The 25-1 UL provides the classic Trangia cooking system at a lower price than the hard-anodised version. Its ultralight aluminium construction offers excellent heat conduction and the same cooking capacities as the 25-1 HA.
Standard ultralight aluminium is softer and more susceptible to scratching and denting than hard-anodised aluminium. Campers who prioritise greater surface durability and easier cleaning may prefer the 25-1 HA, while the 25-1 UL is ideal for those seeking dependable performance and straightforward value.
Important safety information
For outdoor use only. Place the cooker on a stable, level and non-combustible surface, away from flammable materials. Use alcohol-based fuel only and never use petrol or petroleum-based fuels.
Never add fuel while the burner is alight, hot or potentially still burning. Spirit flames can be difficult to see in daylight, so extinguish the burner completely and allow it to cool before checking or refilling it. Remove the detachable pot grip from the cookware while cooking and observe all applicable fire restrictions.

UL: Ultralight aluminium provides low weight, excellent heat conduction and good value, but is more susceptible to scratching and denting.
HA: Hard-anodised aluminium has a harder surface with improved resistance to scratching, wear and corrosion. It is also easier to clean than untreated aluminium but is not non-stick.
Duossal 2.0: Combines an aluminium exterior for efficient heat conduction with a durable and easy-to-clean stainless steel cooking surface.
Which TRANGIA 25 Series model should I choose?
- Choose the 25-1 UL if you want the classic TRANGIA system at the lowest price and do not need a kettle.
- Choose the 25-2 UL if you regularly boil water for tea, coffee or dehydrated meals and want a kettle included in the nesting system.
- Choose the 25-1 HA if you want both the cookware and windshields finished in hard-anodised aluminium.
