If you haven’t done so already, check out our Great South West Walk hiking trail summary or go back to GSWW Section 3 – Cut Out Camp to Cobboboonee Camp. Else, let us continue on with this fourth section of the trail from Cobboboonee Camp to Fitzroy Camp.
Throughout this section of the hiking trail you will be greeted by blackened trees which is quite stunning in it’s own right.
This is another easy 12km walk. Rest up, some big ones ahead.
Fitzroy Camp is an overnight walkers camp in Cobboboonee National Park set amongst tall euclaypts in a sheltered location. The camp is close to Fitzroy River and has a walking track to Jackass Fern Gully picnic area. The campsite offers shared table, seasonal tank water (treat before drinking), shelter and toilet. A shared fireplace is available but fuel stoves are preferred by Parks Victoria.[adinserter block=”5″]
