Splitters Falls

Splitters Falls starts from Wonderland Car Park in Grampians National Park. It is a short 1.6km hike along a Grade 3 trail. Best taken after a heavy rainfall for the best waterfall rewards.

 
Splitters Falls is a Grade 3 walk. Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Formed earthen track, few obstacles. Generally a modified surface, sections may be hardened. Width: variable and less than 1200mm. Kept mostly clear of intrusions and obstacles.

  • The only way to get to Wonderland Car Park is by car.

Discover the Wonderland Range:

The majestic sandstone ridges of the Wonderland Range are over 430 million years old. Their leaning character and hard sandstone nature were formed after thick layers of sediments were intensely heated and folded and eventually thrust up from under the earth.

After years of weathering the Wonderland Range stands unique and inviting; it is a fantastic area to explore by foot. The diversity of spring wildflowers, wet weather waterfalls and rocky mountain peaks can be accessed from numerous walking tracks.

Detailed Hiking Trail Guide:

Head to the information board in front of the main car parking area.

To the LEFT you will see the sign pointing towards Splitters Falls.

Continue STRAIGHT towards Splitters Falls.

The trails goes down a bit into a gully and back out the other side.

Up and out of the gully.

And… back down again.

Turn LEFT towards Splitters Falls after crossing the bridge.

You can walk right up to and even into the waterfall if you want.

After enjoying the waterfall, head back the way you came.

Cross over the bridge.

And back towards Wonderland Car Park.

Continue STRAIGHT (right in the picture) towards Wonderland Car Park.

And, back again. Continue on and hike Turret Falls, the Pinacle, or the Grand Canyon.
