Meetup Events
Have you heard of Meetup.com? Meetup is a platform for finding and building local communities. People use Meetup to meet new people, learn new things, find support, get out of their comfort zones, and pursue their passions, together.
Here at Green Trails Australia, we use Meetup.com to allow people to test the hiking gear and/or camping gear that they’ve just bought off us via our website or in our shop. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet fellow hikers, chat about the gear they use and get some real world feedback on either products that they’ve bought through us, or products they’ve purchased elsewhere.
Our hiking events range from easy walks to very challenging treks. We’ve hosted over 300 events from distances of 5km to multi day hikes of up to 16 days and over 265km. Our events are free to join (unless otherwise specified), and they are all about the hike, getting outdoors, and getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Due to the success of our first Meetup group, we’ve opened a second group to cater specifically to Pack Carry Overnight Hiking Events. Both of our groups are private, meaning that you’ll need to sign up to be a member to see who’s going, and to see the meetup location and other important information.
